Joe Lieberman was a US senator from 1989 to 2013, during which time he ran for vice president alongside Al Gore in 2000 and championed the Don't Ask, Don't Tell Repeal Act of 2010. He died on March 27 at the age of 82 following complications from a fall.

Eric Carmen passed away over the weekend of March 9-10, according to a statement from his wife via his website. Carmen was the frontman of the Raspberries, and later found solo fame with songs like 'All By Myself' and 'Hungry Eyes.' He was 74 at the time of his death.

Crooner Steve Lawrence passed away on March 5 at the age of 88. His career spanned 70 years and 55 years of that was spent performing in a popular double act with his wife and musical partner, Eydie Gormé. His publicist shared that he died of complications from Alzheimer’s disease.

Akira Toriyama, the famous Japanese manga author who created the 'Dragon Ball' franchise, died at the age of 62 on March 1. His cause of death was an acute subdural hematoma.

New York fashion icon and centenarian Iris Apfel passed away on March 1 at the age of 102. The famous business woman was best known for her eccentric style and was the subject of the 2014 documentary 'Iris.'

Former Canadian prime minister Brian Mulroney passed away on February 29 at the age of 84. He served in office between 1984 to 1993. Mulroney had been suffering from prostate cancer and heart problems prior to his death.

Beloved comedian and star of 'Curb Your Enthusiasm,' Richard Lewis died at the age of 76 on February 27. He passed away peacefully at his home after suffering a heart attack during the night, his publicist revealed.

Alexei Navalny - Alexei Navalny, the Russian opposition leader and high-profile activist, died in a Russian high-security prison on February 16. Navalny was 47 years old. His wife and supporters have expressed their conviction that the Russian state is responsible for his death.

Argentinian trans activist, author, and actress Cecilia Gentili passed away on February 6, at the age of 52. Gentili was described by LGBTQ+ advocacy group GLAAD as “a pillar in the trans community.” She played the role of Miss Orlando in the hit series 'Pose.'

Country music star Toby Keith died on February 5 after a two-year battle with stomach cancer. Keith had several major hits during his career, including 'Red Solo Cup' and 'Should've Been a Cowboy.' He was 62 at the time of his death.

Don Murray -

Don Murray passed away on February 2 at the age of 94. The actor earned an Oscar nomination for his performance in the 1956 film 'Bus Stop,' in which he starred opposite Marilyn Monroe. He went on to star in a number of other Westerns such as 'A Hatful of Rain' (1957), and the war drama 'Shake Hands with the Devil.' More recently, he appeared in the 2017 'Twin Peaks' revival.

Mark Gustafson was an Oscar-winning director and animator, best known for co-directing Guillermo del Toro's 'Pinocchio' (2022). He was also the animation director for Wes Anderson's 'Fantastic Mr. Fox' (2009). Gustafson passed away from a heart attack at the age of 64 on February 1.

Carl Weathers passed away at the age of 76 on February 1. The actor started out as a pro football player before landing his career-defining role as Apollo Creed in the 'Rocky' franchise. More recently, he starred in the 'Star Wars' spin-off series 'The Mandalorian.' It's believed he died following a long battle with heart disease.

Broadway star Hinton Battle was the first performer to play the Scarecrow in 'The Wiz.' He died on January 29, at the age of 67, following a long illness. The three-time Tony winner also appeared in the film 'Dreamgirls' (2006).

Another Broadway legend, Chita Rivera passed away after a brief illness at the age of 91 on January 30. Rivera was the first actress to play Anita in 'West Side Story' on Broadway in 1957, which made her an overnight star. She was one of the most nominated performers in Tony Awards history.

Italian actress Sandra Milo passed away at the age of 90 on January 29. She was famously a muse of legendary Italian filmmaker Federico Fellini, starring in his films '8½' (1963) and 'Juliet of the Spirits' (1965).

Joyce Randolph was an icon of '50s TV, starring in the sitcom 'The Honeymooners' as Trixie Norton, as well as on 'The Jackie Gleason Show.' Randolph was the last surviving member of 'The Honeymooners' cast at 99, until she passed away on January 13.

Oliver was 51 and his daughters were 10 and 12. He was known for his appearances in movies like 'The Baby Sitters Club' (1995) and 'Valkyrie' (2008), and the series 'Sense8.'
