Countries with the highest quality of life -

In order to rank the countries with the highest quality of life going into 2024, three metrics were considered: Human Development Index (HDI), Economic Freedom Index (EFI), and Government Effectiveness ratings. HDI estimates factors such as life expectancy, education, and standard of living, published by the United Nations Development Programme. EFI is an annual rating that measures the degree of economic freedom in a country, provided by the Heritage Foundation. The Government Effectiveness rating, provided by the World Bank, measures the quality of public services. It looks at the capacity a government has to deliver on its promises and the quality of its bureaucracy, which are also determinants in measuring economic growth. As well as these three metrics, life expectancy and the amenities available to the residents were used to calculate the overall rating.
