Justin Bieber canceled more than 70 shows on his 2022 Justice World Tour. He shared a statement that touched on his previous announcement of his battle with Ramsay-Hunt syndrome, which left part of his face paralyzed, and was the reason he had to cancel the North American leg of his tour. He explained that he rested and consulted with his doctors before starting his European shows, but after six concerts "the exhaustion overtook me and I realized that I need to make my health the priority right now," he said. "So I'm going to take a break from touring for the time being. I'm going to be ok, but I need time to rest and get better."

The Weeknd -

The Weeknd canceled his sold-out SoFi Stadium concert in Inglewood, California, after not even getting through three songs, when he lost his voice in the middle of 'I Can't Feel My Face.' The singer walked off stage mid-song, and after it ended and another began he returned and told the crowd he had to cancel the rest of the show. “I’m going to make sure everyone is good, you’ll get your money back,” he told the stunned audience, per LA Times. “But I’ll do a show real soon for you guys.” He said that he wanted to apologize personally instead of doing it on social media, and added, "I can’t give you what I want to give you."

Phil Collins -

The legendary British rock star Phil Collins, known for both his impressive solo career and as the drummer and lead singer of Genesis, performed for the last time in 2022. The musician has been dealing with some health issues in recent years and shared that he had nerve damage in his hands that now makes it very difficult to drum. His son, Nic Collins, stepped in as drummer on Genesis's recent 'The Last Domino? Tour.' The tour ended with a final show in London at the O2 arena on March 26, 2022. Collins performed 23 songs while sitting in a chair on stage, in what the band revealed would be their final performance ever. 

Collins' daughter, the actress Lily Collins, was in attendance and posted a heartfelt tribute on Instagram: "Tonite [sic] marks the end of an era. To have witnessed this last show was truly the memory of a lifetime and an event I shall hold in my heart forever. Endlessly grateful doesn't begin to do it justice. So much love was left on that O2 stage and an even bigger amount shared between an audience who didn't want it to end. Thank you @genesis_band for the memories, thank you dad for being such an inspiration and thank you @nic_collins for making me the proudest sister there is. 50 years of songs later and still generations more to celebrate you long after this tour has finished."

Elton John had to reschedule his Dallas shows after testing positive for COVID-19. He announced his diagnosis in an Instagram Story on January 25, 2022, but assured everyone that he was fine. "Hi everyone, wanted to send a message to let you know that I have contracted COVID and so have had to reschedule my shows in Dallas," he wrote, as per People magazine. "It's always a massive disappointment to move shows and I'm so sorry to anyone who's been inconvenienced by this but I want to keep myself and my team safe." He assured everyone that he was vaccinated and his symptoms were mild.

Celine Dion -

Celine Dion canceled her North American tour due to her battle with stiff-person syndrome. “I was really hoping I’d be good to go by now, but I suppose I just have to be more patient and follow the regimen my doctors are prescribing,” Dion said in a statement.

Madonna canceled a European performance of her Madame X tour in Paris after falling on her tailbone during one of several planned concerts in the city. On Instagram, Madonna called herself a "broken doll held together with tape and glue" and said she "needs to stay in bed and rest for a few days."

Elton John announced that he was diagnosed with walking pneumonia while on the Auckland, New Zealand, leg of his Farewell Tour. Despite his diagnosis, he still got onstage and "played and sang my heart out, until my voice could sing no more," he said on social media. "I'm disappointed, deeply upset and sorry. I gave it all I had."
